Our events are friendly, welcoming and educational. For more information about our philosophy and values, see here, and for resources about getting tied, tying and rope in general, see here.

Who teaches this class?

This class is taught by Fred Rx
“Professional rigger and photographer, climber and explorer, doctor and ordained reverend, gangster-wizard-ninja-pirate-bunny and full-time munster. I’m attracted to calloused hands and a calloused soul.”
“From experience, I’ve always found pushing limits and experiencing pain can make you a stronger person. I began playing with overcoming and accepting pain at a young age. That’s probably where my kink started; but as I grew, I found that few people could push my limits the way that I wanted and I was tired of playing alone. This is when I started experimenting with sadism and control of others. Blood, tears and pleas, oh my! As much as I enjoy the suffering of others, especially when it’s for me, pain is meaningless without growth. I’ve been through my fair share of relationships and learned something from every one, and hopefully taught something, too.”
“I began tying several years ago after a long involvement in the kink lifestyle; initially by integrating a mixture of American and Eastern rope into my scenes, learning casually from a variety of teachers and schools. A little over a year ago, my passion for rope and learning had expanded beyond what the local scene could offer, so I began traveling and seeking out teachers and workshops, both around the country and abroad. Rather than restrict myself to one school of rope, my preference is to learn a range of styles and techniques, from a number of skilled riggers. My aim is to collaborate the various styles, methods, and ties of different teachers into a style that is uniquely mine. I focus on combining the methodological ties of traditional Shibari with the intuitive and reactive chaos of my primal nature. Structured rope is a good skill to have, but preferably used to capture a girl after chasing her through the woods.”
