Who can come to this class? This class has no pre-requisites for Tops and bottoms.
What should I bring and what do I wear? We have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are free but you should bring your food and snacks (we have plates and cutlery you can use). People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.
When does it take place? This is an evening class. It takes place on Friday August 25th 7pm to 10:30pm.
What is the class like? We know it can be intimidating to step into a rope bondage class so the classes we host have been created to make you feel welcome, accepted and comfortable. Anatomie Studio is an inclusive female-friendly, kink-friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly space welcome of people of all colours, genders, orientations and background. Our events are friendly, welcoming and educational. For more information about our philosophy and values, see here, and for resources about getting tied, tying and rope in general, see here.
“I am a bondage teacher and event organiser. I created my first educational website with information on rope bondage in 2000.”
“After ten years of self-education, I met Kinoko Hajime who became my first teacher of Japanese bondage. Afterwards, my tying was shaped by Osada Steve and Kanna; however, Kinoko Ryu is still my first choice for most of my rope partners. A year later, I started teaching regular bondage workshops and have kept this hobby till today. In the meantime, I met two other teachers who influenced me greatly. The first was Yoroi Nicolas who taught me movement, intimacy, and simplicity in ropes. The second and the most influential was Riccardo Wildties. He introduced me to Naka Ryu. The more I study with Riccardo and Naka Akira, the more I fall in love with this style.”
“In recent years teaching ropes and organising foreign teachers’ visits has become almost my part-time job. I love to teach topics I am passionate about, such as predicaments and sadistic, overpowering, and dynamic ways of tying, breath play, and many others. I love my job.”
