We welcome FredRx and his partner KaijaFaerie for their first weekend intensive at Anatomie Studio!
Who can come to this class? Are there pre-requisites?
This class has pre-requisites for riggers and rope bottoms/models – please make sure you meet these before booking to avoid disappointment on the day:
• Completion of Course 2 gives both riggers and models the necessary pre-requisites for this course.
• Riggers must be able to tie a structural 2 rope Takate Kote in under 10 minutes and be familiar with basic principles of mainline attachments. Familiarity with partial suspension ideal but not strictly necessary.
• Ideally pairs must tie with 6mm jute ropes, preferably single ply.
* Riggers and models must know how to check for nerve impingement.
• Rope bottoms should be able to be tied in a Takate Kote and be very familiar with the differences between nerve and circulation impingement. Models must be able to recognise and communicate signs of nerve impingement to riggers effectively and timely. Models should be able to process pain and take some enjoyment in intense sensations.
What should I bring and what do I wear? We have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave, so feel free to bring lunch/snacks. Tea and coffee are free. People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on. We have communal ropes if you don’t have your own.
When does it take place? This is workshop takes place September 15-16 2018: Saturday and Sunday (1-7pm).
Who teaches this class? This workshop is taught by guest presenters FredRx and KaijaFaerie.
Fred’s relationship with rope has taken many forms and has been ever present in his life. from scouts, to rigging, to rock climbing and now rope bondage. Fred began tying a few years ago, with American and eastern influences, to enhance his BDSM scenes. Fred’s passion for rope itself exceed his own knowledge and he began to travel for the sole sake of learning more. The last few years of his life has been spent as a traveling rope-nomad, learning as many different styles and techniques as possible from inspiring teachers and riggers all over the globe. Fred’s not easily categorized, stereotyped, or labeled… nor is his rope. Instead of following only one methodology of rope bondage in his tying and teaching, Fred wishes to amalgamate the unique wisdom of each of his teachers, the distinctive styles of different cultures, and his personal reverence for the magic in improvised rope. Fred’s focus on fusing traditional Japanese rope bondage with his own chaotic primal nature and a curiosity of the twisted and unexplored. Fred has taught intensives and conventions both in the US and internationally. Fred love’s his students and the game that is learning how they learn. Fred wishes to inspire discipline and wonder in their personal tying practices and encourage everyone to dissect, inspect, and expand on anything he says. Fred think’s rope is an incredible tool and he looks forward to forever be learning more about it.
Kaija began her journey with physical and mental edge-pushing as a child gymnast. She has always been enticed by the tactile/spiritual experience of pain and is deeply fed by experiences that test her will power or bring her to her physical limits. As a closeted pervert, tree climbing/yoga/aerial dance/partner acrobatics/pole dance were her trusted outlets for edge-walking until March 2017 when Kaija met Fred and was introduced to the world of kink. She has found a home like none other in the rope community and is proudly owning her perversion. She eagerly daydreams of bloody rope scenes, big purple bruises, and pink puffy scars.
How much does this cost? £200 per person.

In this workshop, Fred and Kaija will teach you a variety of non-Takate Kote based ties for floor, partials and full suspension. Participants are invited to work within their abilities as this is suitable for a variety of levels.
This workshop is aimed at getting your imagination and creative juices flowing, whatever your relationship is to rope.
– Futomomos for Every Occasion:
There’s many paths that lead to the same end result so why take the same path every time? futomomos have been a great way to express that concept by combining feeling rope and structured rope. even though we will be tying futomomos, we’ll be able to apply the philosophy that goes into this class to all of our bondage and rope play.
– Bunny Ears/Pillow Hands:
A different option for a chest harness that induces a different kind of suffering and ascetic by tying the hands behind the head. we will explore different versions suspendable and non suspendable so we can tie depending on the situation we’re in.
A different option for a chest harness that induces a different kind of suffering and ascetic by tying the arms together behind the back. we will explore different versions suspendable and non suspendable so we can tie depending on the situation we’re in.
– Partial Suspensions, and Transitions Touching the Floor:
People get caught up in suspension being the holy grail of bondage but really there is so much to explore on the floor or in partials. In this class we will investigate how close and intimate we can get without pulling all of the body off the ground.
– “M” Position Suspension:
Using a butt harness to lift the butt and create an M position. Line management, static suspension and transition options.
– Crab Tie Suspension:
Using a butt harness to get an interesting and vulnerable shape.
