[SOLD OUT] ‘The Third Rope’

This class has pre-requisites

Tickets and event listing here.

the-third-rope-2016-3

Third rope variations on the Takate Kote can be as varied as the imagination allows, but before getting creative, it is important to learn the purpose and function of this rope.

In this very complete class, FredHatt and MissBones will first contextualise the TK in terms of the history of shibari, and explain the different ‘families’ or ‘styles’ of TK. You will learn step-by-step 3 third rope patterns and variations within these patterns. FredHatt will give plenty of information about aesthetics, placement, anatomy and how to work around ‘obstacles’ such as uneven ends, joints in undesirable places, how to use up rope, etc. MissBones will provide plenty of important information for rope bottoms.

Important: this class has pre-requisites for riggers and rope bottoms:

– Riggers must know how to comfortably tie a structural two rope Takate Kote taught to you in a class, workshop or private tuition.

– Rope bottoms should be comfortable in a Takate Kote and familiar with the differences between nerve and circulation impingement.
