“I don’t do rope, I do people.
But I do them with rope”

– Wykd Dave

Wykd Dave & Clover return to Anatomie! This is rare opportunity to learn from Wykd Dave and Clover as they seldom teach inside the UK!

This year, they will be offering a weekend intensive for the more advanced students (May 26 & 27), and also a one day class on the ‘Aesthetics of Emotion’ (Monday May 28th) which is open to beginners and all levels.

You can book into all 3 days as a bundle, or just the weekend / just the Monday class.

If you are new / not yet doing suspensions, we highly recommend taking advantage of the Monday class, which will no doubt be incredibly inspirational!

Wykd Dave has in the past few years been teaching and performing throughout the world with his partner Clover. His work has appeared in Films, music videos, international fashion magazines and even in Paris’s Louvre gallery. His teaching has revolutionised rope bondage for many students around the world as he shares his own take on what’s important to learn and understand about rope. He has also accomplished the rare and almost unique feat of having created ties and techniques that are now used and taught in Japan.

Wykd Dave  teaches together with his partner Clover who provides her perspective as a rope bottom. They both believe that education for models/bottoms is just as important as for riggers. Clover is the author of the first ever document written for rope bottoms: A Guide Rope Bottoms & Bondage Models (which is available online for free).

See you soon!

Anna Bones runs Anatomie Shibari studio with her partner Fred Hatt.

‘I discovered ropes in 2013 and fell head over heels in love with it.

‘I met my partner at my first ever rope event and we’ve been together ever since. We’ve been teaching and performing internationally since 2014 and opened our own venue in 2015.

‘There’s an ever growing interest in learning shibari.

‘Our mission is primarily education and we’re focused on the teaching of shibari knowledge, with regular workshops from total beginner to advanced skills.

‘Being a female-led space, we seek to empower our audience and students when it comes to their bodies and their sexuality by giving them the vocabulary and tools to work with that go beyond just the ropes.

‘Our clientele ranges from young to old, of all genders and ethnicities and all shapes and sizes. ‘Some come with partners, some alone – it’s very easy to make friends and find partners to tie with during the socials and rope jams.’

A better more exciting year starts here… Learn Shibari with us in 2018!

In 2018 we have more, better and more diverse classes than ever!

Total newbie? Not sure where to start? We’ve got you! Every Thursday we host a beginners Rope Jam where you can learn the basics and make friends for £10 per person (tea, coffee and ropes included). If you’re looking for structured classes, we have a semi-regular full weekend workshop called Discover Shibari, as well as a myriad of classes open to beginners and all levels.

On a deadline to become an expert? We can help too. We have a set of 3 progressive courses that’ll take you from zero to suspensions and transitions. If the schedule doesn’t work out for you, we occasionally provide private one-on-one tuition.

Flying solo? You don’t need a partner to join our Rope Jams and Community ClassesSome workshops have individual tickets on sale too. If you want to find a partner, come to a Rope Jam and get to know your community.

On a budget? Our Community Classes are pay-what-you-can donation based and most of our evening classes cost under £50 (for two). And ourRope Jams cost as little as £8 per person.

Don’t meet the pre-requisites for classes? That’s cool! Most of our workshops in 2018 are open to all levels. Our Community Classes also don’t pre-requisites, neither do our Rope Jams. But if you want to learn the pre-requisites for the advanced classes, you can for as a little as £45.

Just want to watch? That’s possible too! We have a monthly life-drawing evening called Drawn to Rope for the artists out there and regular performance nights for the curious. Our Rope Jams are also a good place to sit back and enjoy the view over a cup of tea (it’s free).

Discover Shibari with us this April!

New or new-ish to rope? Want to learn the fundamentals of shibari? Then Come discover it with us next Sunday April 9th in our bright, positive, friendly environment!

screen-shot-2017-03-02-at-10-41-08

From its origins and history, to human anatomy and body mechanics, to learning the ABC’s of rope handling and flow, this class is designed to get your creative juices flowing and inspire you body, mind and soul. Learn to connect with your partner in ropes, learn to handle and manipulate the body, and learn to tie all the basic shibari patterns as well as how to freestyle in rope!

No rope. No partner. No experience needed!

Our “Discover Shibari” sessions are full-day hands-on classes taught to you by our Anatomie ‘House Cats’ and are a culmination of over one and a half years of collective experience and learning from teaching beginners during our Thursday beginner rope jams. This class is a true reflection of the spirit and modern approach to rope we have in the studio and the program has a strong influence from the many wonderful presenters that have passed through our doors and also presenters we have learned from abroad.

Our first ever class is taking place on April 9th, and tickets are half gone already.
Information, program, tickets over here.

Will you help us grow?

The studio is getting busier by the week and we would like to be able to move into a larger space. Will you help us get us there?

Most studio attendees feel that it would be nice to have more space for rope in the studio. Sometimes the jams can get really busy, making it a bit difficult to do rope and manage the floor space. And we agree.

Rather than nodding our heads in agreement and lamenting the fact that we don’t have a bigger studio to offer to the London rope community, we wanted to give you the opportunity to help us help you via this donation system.

See our GoGetFunding campaign below for details about where, when, why, how.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous support so far.

Last Friday was another one of those days where we got to have some fun with ropes, camera, friends and some colourful lighting. We played on the theme of the four elements: Earth, Fire, Water and Air, and had the rope and poses reflect each of these elements. Theo was our model and collaborator for the evening and was just absolutely amazing to work with.

We leave you here with our images for Air, where Theo is floating and gracefully falling from cloud 9…
