Our team is made up of a diverse group of teachers who regularly lead and assist in our classes, each bringing their own unique style and expertise to the studio. Many of them are also available for private tuition, one-on-one sessions, and creative collaborations, including performances, photoshoots, and other projects. Fred Hatt (studio owner) • Fred Hatt is a co-founder of Anatomie Studio and an experienced shibari educator for close to a decade. He regularly teaches in London and abroad (including online at Shibari Study), focusing on both the “how” and “why” of rope. Known for his technical approach, he pays close attention to the small details that make a tie work. His style leans towards transitions and predicaments, and while naturally introverted, he is a thoughtful and dedicated teacher invested in making information accessible and practical.

Anna Bones (studio owner) • Anna Bones fell in love with shibari in 2013 and co-founded Anatomie Studio in 2015. She has taught and performed worldwide but loves welcoming beginners to her home studio. Passionate about all aspects of rope—self-tying, bottoming, and rigging—she sees it as a tool for self-discovery, trust, and intimacy. She describes herself as a bottom who ties and a shy rigger. Her passion is teaching beginners and setting them off on a path to self-discovery. Anatomie is her pride and joy.

Goddessinrope • Since 2016, Goddessinrope has been exploring Shibari, evolving from private practice to teaching both locally and internationally. With experience on both sides of the rope, she focuses on technique and enjoyment, tailoring her instruction to each student. She is a long-time instructor at beginner’s jams and in-house courses – and practically part of the furniture!

Kina Neve (she/her) • Kina Neve has been practicing Shibari since 2016, exploring its potential for connection, and self-discovery. With a background in education and psychology, she tailors her teaching to individual learning styles, encouraging curiosity and growth. For Kina, rope is a powerful tool for both intimacy and community, and she’s passionate about sharing its many possibilities.

Shaun (he/him) • Shaun (he/him) started coming to Anatomie in May 2022 and after a short time became a volunteer. Since then Anatomie bas become his second home and in 2023 he started helping as a teachers assistant in courses and joined the Thursday beginners class teaching team in 2025. Shaun is a rope top who enjoys the connection that rope brings and is a huge fan of floor-work, partials and predicament play.

Petite Pretzel (she/her)• Petite Pretzel is a rope switch from New York City. She has been teaching shibari since 2019 at Anatomie Studio London. Her commercial rigging includes music video credits (Charli XCX, Christine + the Queens), art gallery installation, fashion photography (Nick Knight, Michaela Stark) and full-length film. She often performs live at London nightlife events (Pinky Promise, Fox & Badge, Riposte Queer Rave), and UK festivals (Shambala Festival, Noisily Festival). She loves to travel and has taught and performed Shibari abroad in 10 countries. She lives in Bethnal Green with her rope-loving cat.

Rory Ropes (he/him) • Rory discovered his passion for Shibari in 2020 at Anatomie Studio. With a switchy background, he enjoys playful, dynamic rope and incorporating body manipulation. Whether self-tying, double tying, or experimenting with new tie combinations, he prioritises the model’s well-being. Committed to making rope accessible, he adapts ties for those with injuries and disabilities. He’s always refining his technical skills and exploring new possibilities in rope.

Zuberi (he/him) • Zuberi (he/him) blends martial arts, tantra, and shiatsu into his unique rope practice. Since 2014, he has explored styles from Naka Akira’s traditional teachings to modern approaches like Fred Hatt’s. His passion for learning drives his teaching. As a Black British practitioner of African heritage, Zuberi is committed to fostering sex-positive, body-positive spaces, especially within the POC community, ensuring everyone feels seen and included.

Pen (he/him) • Pen is a bottom-leaning rope switch who loves exploring the emotions and vulnerability of shibari. As a rope-bottom, he has taught and performed at events across the UK, Europe, the US, and Southeast Asia. Passionate about rope bottoming education and safety, he uses his extensive training in human anatomy and physiology to empower both bottoms and riggers to explore rope play more safely and freely.

Jenni • Jenni Noon (she/her) is a dancer and yoga teacher based in London, with a background in various dance styles. She began exploring shibari as a bottom in 2021, with a strong focus on connection. Jenni balances her creative and analytical sides, working as an economist as well.

Alex • Alex (she/her) is a London based Shibari practitioner with a background in dance and movement practice. Over the last years she has been working closely with a physiotherapist to explore the impact of rope bondage on the human body and how both rope partners can utilise techniques from movement practices to create an enjoyable experience. Alex enjoys sharing her techniques and approach to rope bottoming especially for challenging positions in an attempt to make rope bottoming accessible to everyone.

Emily • Emily (she/her) has been coming to Anatomie since moving to London in 2021 and in that time has really enjoyed learning through all the courses with different partners as well as self tie workshops. She joined the volunteers in 2023 and started bottoming/co-teaching for beginners in 2024.
